Balancing the Game

The new update version 1.4 for "The Division" is set to be released this month. The Public Test Server for "The Division" Update 1.4 is already up and players can now test and see the changes for themselves ahead of the official release. This software patch for the third person shooter game is said to bring a lot to the table when it comes to gameplay. Ubisoft is then relying on the feedback that the testers will give upon trying out the updated version of "The Division."

Update Changes

Even before the official release of "The Division" 1.4 Update, players can now already experience some minor changes on the weapons, armors, gears, and world tiers featured in the game. When Ubisoft officially releases the update, players will be able to choose a new world map upon reaching level 30. There would also be an opportunity for the players to acquire big rewards when they choose higher tier battles against enemies that also have high levels of difficulty.

"The Division" Update 1.4 will be focusing more on the overall gameplay balance among players. The gear score will be drastically changed. This is to address the issue that Ubisoft has been receiving regarding several players being removed from their respective groups as they do not have enough gear scores that meet the other members' standards.

Ubisoft had stated that they do not wish for the players to be automatically punished by their teammates just because their gear scores are not high enough. The developer explained that the Gear Sets should not be the measuring unit of the players' actual power. They are also not required to be competitive at endgame, but are instead representative of fun and specialized styles of gameplay.

As the update 1.4 patch of "The Division" is still available on the Public Test Servers, its development is still underway. The final and official release would depend mostly on the feedback of its testers.
