The Elder Scrolls 6 Argonia Release Date News Update: Gameplay and Release Date to Be Revealed at PlayStation Event

News surrounding the sequel to Bethesda's well-loved The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is once again making rounds among gamers and fans of the franchise, with most rumors pointing to a release date of March 2016.

Word on the streets indicates that the game studio would unveil the next (purported) Elder Scrolls game titled The Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia during the PlayStation Experience Event which will take place this December in Las Vegas.

However, Master Herald reported that fans don't need to wait for the occasion to know about the game. According to the publication, an alleged leak from Bethesda's headquarter pointed out that the title is scheduled for a March 2016 release.

The media outlet further vindicated the claims saying that the date "would coincide with the average release schedule of Bethesda," given that it would take several years for the company to produce an 'Elder Scrolls' game.

The other thing is that Argonia "won't have that much competition" around the mentioned release date. "Although plenty more games could be announced until then of course," the site explained.

Several tech sites contributed to the rumors even saying that the ES 6: Argonia could have already been revealed (behind closed doors) on EGX 2014 which took place this September.

Tehran Chronicle claimed that the game would take place on the swampy marshland of Black Marsh or Argonia. Having the name in mind, speculations also pointed out that the game's storyline would likely focus on the "least popular race" of the Argonians.

Argonian, in previous titles, is a race of "reptile-looking" individuals with superior natural abilities like immunity to diseases as well as the capacity to breathe underwater. The said attributes gave them the needed advantage to survive and thrive in their swampy homeland, Black Marsh.
