'The Elder Scrolls 6' News: Will Bethesda Announce 'The Elder Scrolls 6' At E3 2016?

It has been a while since Bethesda released the multi-awarded open-world action role-playing game "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," and fans of the action RPG have been hankering to see a new game from the "Elder Scrolls" franchise. While it is not surprising that Bethesda is keeping quiet about any development, news and rumors about when "Elder Scrolls 6" will be released have been circulating online for quite some time now. The latest report says the "Elder Scrolls 6" may be announced at the upcoming E3 2016, according to Neurogadget.

The report cited an earlier announcement by Bethesda that they will be holding another press conference during the E3 2016, scheduled on June 12, Sunday. It also noted that the company has not been in the habit of holding press events unless it has something important to announce. At the E3 2015, it was "Fallout 4" which was the star of the show, with a few other games announced on the side such "Doom" and "The Elder Scrolls Legends." The report speculated on what Bethesda may announce at the event, which may possibly be the next "Wolfenstein" game rather than "Elder Scrolls 6."

According to another report in The Inquistr, Bethesda is a company that is known to keep quiet about any of their titles in development unless they are ready or almost ready to release them. It also cited that there were reports of Bethesda confirming that "Elder Scrolls 6" was already in development and that it was already being called "Skyrim 2." While most fans would want to see the game sooner than later, the report said that it may not be announced until 2017.

With little official news about the upcoming game, several rumors have come out about the game. One such rumor as mentioned in another Neurogadget report, says that it will be set in a different location, namely Argonia. This however was proven to be false and not much else is available about what the new game will bring.

Fans will just have to wait some more for official word from Bethesda about "The Elder Scrolls 6."
