'The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind' for PS4: New Expansion Arrives on June 6

Gaming enthusiasts won't have to wait for too long before "The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" finally arrives on PlayStation 4 (PS4). The game's new downloadable content (DLC) is coming soon to the console and some online game retailers are already accepting pre-orders for it.

When the expansion pack is officially released in June, it will be available on various platforms, and the PS4 is just one of them. Players who already have "The Elder Scrolls Online" will simply need to download the new content. However, those who have yet to buy the game can purchase "The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind," which provides access to the previous expansion "Tamriel Unlimited."

The new version of the game will be set seven centuries before "The Elder Scrolls III," which is set nine centuries before "Skyrim." In the upcoming expansion, players will be taken to Vvardenfell, an island plagued by an ancient daedric threat. The role of the player is to help a legendary warrior named Vivec as he seeks to restore his power.

The challenge, however, is that the players here are treated as outsiders, and there is a clan in the island that hates outsiders — the Dunmer. This tribe is an intensely political group that attacks strangers.

Veteran players of "The Elder Scrolls" perfectly know why they have to return back in time. In the upcoming DLC, they will have to explore all the five factions ruling Vvardenfell and must be able to save Vivec, because it is only by saving the sickly warrior that they can put an end to the division in the island.

The upcoming expansion of the game does not only feature a new storyline but a bigger map as well. According to reports, Morrowind offers a map that is 40 percent bigger than the map in the original installment. It also includes new game modes — Capture the Flag, Domination and Team Death Match.

"The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" is set to arrive on June 6.
