Labs defective particle accelerator has fused him with the younger Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), Stein tries to do all that he possibly can to separate them before it's too late.

Meanwhile, "Smash" star Andy Mientus will be joining "The Flash" as the hearing impaired gay villain Hartley Rathaway, also known as the Pied Piper.

Hartley is described as a genius who used to work at S.T.A.R. Labs until he had a falling out with his mentor, Harrison Wells. The particle accelerator caused him to lose his hearing, but this pushed him to create weapons to destroy Wells' new protégé—The Flash.

In other news, The CW has released a preview for the third episode of the show titled "Things You Can't Outrun," according to Comicbook.com.

In the episode, Barry/The Flash and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs work together to trap Kyle Nimbus, also known as The Mist, a dangerous new meta-human with toxic gas powers. They revisit the night the particle accelerator exploded and killed Caitlin's fiancé Ronnie. Meanwhile, Joe decides to visit Henry in jail after a long time, but things get dicey when Kyle shows up as he intends to punish Joe for arresting him years ago.

Watch the next episode of "The Flash" on Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
