'The Flash' News: Arrow's Felicity to Crossover, Wentworth Miller to Play New Villain in Upcoming Episode

"The Flash" has found success early in its first season run as the show is reported to have the most watched premiere in the history of The CW. According to Variety, the premiere episode garnered an average audience of 6.8 million, and the show is reportedly the highest rated among the male demographic. It's no wonder that the network recently gave a full season order for the show—which means fans will have 23 episodes to look forward to this season.

So what's in store for Barry Allen in the next episodes? According to TVLine, fans can expect to see "Arrow" actress Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) as she heads to Central City on this Tuesday's episode of "The Flash" and she'll be going on a double date with Barry, Iris, and her boyfriend, Eddie.

Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen, spoke to TVLine about the date.

"It's pretty awkward," he said. "For the audience, it's going to be very funny and enjoyable. It's not a typical double date. It's more like an awkward game night between friends."

Candice Patton, who plays Iris on the show, said that her character will encourage this pairing between Barry and Felicity.

"Immediately, Iris can see that Barry and Felicity are both super nerds and they speak the same nerdy language," said Patton. "So for them to be together just makes sense to Iris."

This Tuesday's episode will also see a new villain—Leonard Snart, also known as Captain Cold. Snart will be played by "Prison Break" alum Wentworth Miller. This rivalry between the Flash and Captain Cold will be anything but fun for Barry.

"It's fun for Snart, and that's the whole thing that's driving him," said Gustin. "But for Barry, it's just a pain in the [expletive]. This guy won't go away. And there are bigger things that Barry's trying to focus on, and it's hard to focus on everything else."

Here's the official synopsis for this Tuesday's episode of "The Flash" titled "Going Rogue":

"The Flash battles Captain Cold after the villain is involved in a robbery and plots to steal the Kahndaq Dynasty Diamond. The evil plans get a boost when the Captain gets his hands on a stolen 'cold gun' that could kill The Flash," it reads.

Watch the "Going Rogue" episode of "The Flash" on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
