'The Flash' News, Update: Carlos Valdez Talks Character Development in Season 2

On the heels of this week's news about Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) getting a wardrobe refresh, a new report indicated that fans will also get to see the character's changes of Carlos Valdez's Cisco Ramone in the second season of The CW's hit superhero TV drama series "The Flash."

The resident S.T.A.R. Labs tech-wiz will begin to see further changes as the new season enters.

It shouldn't come as a total surprise for comic book readers as they may already have known that Cisco is in fact the alter ego of the DC hero Vibe.

During the finale of Season 1, it was revealed by Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) that Cisco has been affected by the explosion at the particle acceleration, making him a bona fide metahuman. His superpowers may turn out not to be as "cool" as the other guys have, but he is capable of retaining memories from the alternate timelines.

The actor himself talked about the new changes for his Latino character.

"I think as people saw near the end of Season 1, there are biological changes that are happening to Cisco, specifically with like the dreams and the memories. So, fans can definitely expect more of those biological changes to sort of take effect, especially at the beginning of Season 2."

Valdez meanwhile took the chance to say his thoughts on playing the character.

"It's super dope. It's sort of weird to perceive this opportunity as a unique opportunity to represent Latinos on television and stuff like that," he told Screen Rant. "I'm just trying to play a character. There's really nothing that makes me different than my culture. So I think it's fitting that we would have somebody from this culture be represented the way that they are, because we're trying to make a show that represents the world that we live in. And so, it makes total sense to me. It's a no-brainer."

"The Flash" Season 2 returns on the CW this fall.
