'The Flash' Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Showrunner Teases the Surprising Introduction of Wally West

A handful of plot spoilers and teasers for the upcoming sophomore season of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" have emerged last week pointing out to the show's surprising way of introducing Wally to the West family plus the info about a metahuman which will arrive in Season 2.

The latest The Flash scoop from TV Linne seems to suggest that followers of the TV series who are also fans of the comic books should start unlearning what they know from the source materials. According to the report, the CW scripted program "will be putting its own twist on Keiynan Lonsdale's junior speedster" when it returns to the small screens in the coming months.

"We are a doing our special Flash magic where we take a comic book character and give it just a little bit of a 'Hmmm,' so that you're like, "Oh!" executive producer Gabrielle Stanton told the media outlet.

Although the showrunner remained mum on the specific details, Stanton however revealed that Wally will be introduced into the Grant Gustin-led DC TV show "in a really, really cool way…that I don't think the audience will see coming."

"He will definitely have a very interesting and close relationship with Team Flash," she added.

Another casting spoiler comes from Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin's (Danielle Panabaker) mention of an ex-S.T.A.R. Labs employee named Doctor Light.

Stanton told TV Line that this missing character turns out to be a metahuman who will be appearing in Season 2 of the show. However, "it's going to be the female version" of the character.

"The Flash" Season 2 premieres Oct. 6 on The CW.
