'The Flash' Season 1 Finale News: Wells Explains The Reason He Killed Barry's Mother
The penultimate episode of the hit superhero TV drama series "The Flash" saw Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) finally getting his hands on the stronger, faster, and more cunning Reverse Flash.
With the help of Starling City's guardian, Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Ronnie (Robbie Amell) a.k.a. Firestorm, the Flash was able to pin down Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) who really is a person from the future, Eobard Thawne.
A promo video for the upcoming finale episode titled "Fast Enough" features Thawne/Wells revealing to Barry the reason as to why he murdered Nora Allen.

"Why did you kill my mother?" a teary-eyed Barry asked.
"Because I hate you," Wells, who is now held up in STAR Labs' Pipe prison, replied. "Not you now, you years from now."
"We're enemies, rivals, opposites, reverses of one another," Wells went on to explain.
"Why are we enemies?" Barry sought for deeper reasons to which his future nemesis simply replied: "It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is neither one of us is strong enough to defeat the other. Until I learned your secret … I learned your name … Barry Allen."
A report from Cinema Blend points out that whatever is the outcome in Season 1's ending, avid followers of the show will likely to learn in the future chapters how this rift between two lightning fast characters came to be.
Meanwhile, a synopsis for the episode was posted on the Futon Critic and it reads:
"Wells presents Barry with a life-changing choice. Dr. Martin Stein (guest star Victor Garber) and Ronnie Raymond return to help the S.T.A.R. Labs team with this final fight."
"The Flash" Season 1 Finale airs this Tuesday, May 19, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
