After Barry made his decision, he went to the particle accelerator and did what Dr. Wells had told him to do. There he found the future version of himself somehow telling him not to do what he initially wanted to: save Nora from death.

There in the other room, he witnessed how Thawne killed his mother. As the scene cleared, he approached his mother and introduced himself. The heart-wrenching scene involves Barry finally saying a proper goodbye to his mother.

Meanwhile, Wells prepared his leave from the present time. But just as he was about to accelerate the Time Bubble machine, a winged helmet came through the wormhole which Barry had created.

A lot of fans, especially the non-comic book readers, were wondering the significance of the head gear.

As revealed, the headpiece belongs to Jay Garrick who was known in the DC Universe as the very first Flash.

The original speedster appeared in the comics in 1940 and was introduced as a college student who accidentally inhaled water vapors that he soon discovered had given him the ability to run at superhuman speed.

Followers of the show, were quick to speculate that the upcoming season of the CW series will surely be an exciting one as it now has the possibility of introducing several other versions of the Flash as well as different entities of the Reverse-Flash into Central City.
