'The Flash' Season 1 News, Spoilers: 'Rogue Air' to Be Jam-Packed With Heroes and Villains

Last week's showing of the CW's hit superhero TV drama series "The Flash" saw the telekinetic Grodd in action. It was revealed however, that his/its appearance is only meant for Doctor Wells/Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) to distract the people in STAR Labs so that he may lay out his plans accordingly and without interruption.

In this week's episode, a huge action is expected. The plot synopsis posted on The Futon Critic indicates that Barry (Grant Gustin) will be in a dire situation that he needs to "make a big move" and by that it means reaching out to an old foe, Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller).

Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) are quick to remind Flash that Cold is a person whose trustworthiness is to be questioned.

"True to form, Cold has his own agenda that involves the meta-humans trapped in the containment cells," the summary from TFC reads.

However, Barry won't run out of help. The penultimate episode will once again see Starling City's very own hero, Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), coming down to lend a hand. There's also Firestorm (guest star Robbie Amell) whose presence will surely excite someone in STAR Labs.

Movie Pilot meanwhile listed other DC characters appearing on the upcoming segment titled "Rogue Air."

There's Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre), Peek-A-Boo (Britne Oldford), Rainbow Raider (Paul Anthony), Deathbolt (Doug Jones), and Kyle Nimbus (Anthony Carrigan).

Followers of the show may remember the recently mentioned characters as "current inhabitants of the Pipeline prison" and that they should expect some catastrophic events to go down in Central City.

As what the publication further stated, Weather Wizard and the rest of the freed villains might decide to join forces with Captain Cold to form what is known as the Rogues team.

"The Flash" Season 1 Penultimate episode airs this Tuesday, May 12 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
