'The Flash' Season 1 Recap, Spoilers: The Streak Breaks the Sound Barrier, Facing 2 Villains Tonight
In the latest showing of "The Flash" Season 1, episode 6 titled "The Flash is Born," fans were able to witness Barry Allen/Flash (Grant Gustin) broke the sound barrier in order to vanquish a steel solid enemy who happened to be a bully back in Barry's school days.
As revealed, Tony Woodward is another metahuman who was imbued with superhuman strength and high resistance from harm, including bullets. He also was Barry's childhood bully.
When the two met, the Flash was instantly subdued with the immense attack and defense power of the villain. On one occasion, Barry was severely damaged and had to return to S.T.A.R. labs to recuperate.
In order to defeat the juggernaut, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) told the Streak that he has to travel at over the speed of sound to create a huge force enough to compromise Tony's hybrid metallic body structure.
Things escalated for the people of Central City when the perpetrator kidnapped Iris (Candice Patton). The Flash went to the rescue and hit the Girder so hard it temporarily disabled his ability.
Moving on to the next segment, spoiler news suggests that the Flash will get a visit from DC characters Farooq and the Clock King.
A full synopsis for tonight's showing was provided by The Futon Critic.
"The Flash goes up against Farooq aka Blackout (guest star Michael Reventar), a metahuman who can harness electricity. During their battle, Farooq zaps The Flash and siphons all his electricity, leaving The Flash without his speed," the summary reads.
"Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) work to reverse the effects on Barry, but their efforts are disrupted when Farooq comes banging on S.T.A.R. Labs doors in search of Wells, who he blames for his accident. Without Barry's powers to protect them, the group must figure out a way to save themselves from the metahuman," it continued.
"Meanwhile, Tockman (guest star Robert Knepper) manages a coup inside the Central City police department and takes several people hostage, including Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton). While Iris is sure The Flash will save them, Eddie (Rick Cosnett) has a trick up his sleeve," the synopsis read.
"The Flash" Season 1 episode 7 titled "Power Outage" airs this Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
