Fans of the hit superhero TV drama series "The Flash" better get ready for more mind-boggling surprises like multiverses, time travelling, as well as multiple speedsters coming over when the show returns for its second season.

For those who missed it, Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash (Grant Gustin) went back to the time when his mother was murdered. The process brought forth numerous consequences like worm holes getting opened and the time continuum getting disrupted. For what these things might bring further, it remains to be seen.

"There are no scripts yet, but [the producers have] broken the second season to me and it's going to be amazing," the actor told BuzzFeed.

"It's going to be even more comic book-y, which is fun, and it's going to go in the direction I want to go with Barry, which is a little more confident and cocky with his powers," he said.

The star also spoke of Earth-One and Earth-Two, two of the multiple universes in the DC realm, which will be introduced in the near future.

There will be kind of different dimensions going on," he said. This further means that multiple versions of the speedsters as well as villains are expected to appear in Central City.

This is in line with what executive Andrew Kreisberg teased with the people from The Hollywood Reporter in an earlier interview.

"We are going to introduce a few more speedsters next year and a bunch more villains. How they and those villains come about is part of the surprise of season two. We're really excited," the executive producer said.

"The Flash" Season 2 is slated to premiere its premiere episode this fall 2015.
