'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Producers Tease Earth-2 Barry, Cisco, And Big Bad Zoom

The last episode of "The Flash" finally brought fans to the Earth-2, making things a little more interesting for the series' main characters such as Barry, Cisco and Caitlin. The show's executive producers, Aaron and Todd Helbing spoke about the events that happened in the episode "Welcome to Earth-2" and what its implications are for the rest of the season, according to an IGN report.

In "Welcome to Earth-2," fans find out that Barry and Iris are married in the alternate universe, alt Barry is a totally different character, and Cisco and Caitlin have evil personas in Earth-2. A glimpse of a new villain, Zoom, is also shown in the episode, and he is seen as one who is obsessed with stealing The Flash's speed.

According to the report, while Earth-2 Barry and his character was not properly explored in this episode, the executive producers assured fans that he will have his chance to show who he is and how different he is from Earth-1 Barry. Todd said that Jesse characterized alt Barry as "selfish" which hints at what is going to happen to him in the next episode.

Cisco, on the other hand, came face-to-face with his evil Earth-2 persona, Reverb, who ends up dying at the end of the episode. According to the EPs, this was really how they planned to use the evil Cisco character. Aaron said, "Once Cisco saw the magnitude of the powers that he's capable of, everything's possible now in his mind." This will likely play into how his Earth-1 character will develop later on in the season. As for Earth-1 Caitlin and the possibility that she will become Killer Frost, her Earth-2 persona, the EPs disclosed that right now, "it's not a possibility."

The new Big Bad of the show appears to be Zoom, who is out to drain the speed out of Barry. In the last episode, Barry has been captured by Zoom along with two other people, one of whom was shown with a mask. While it was not apparent from the episode who this person is, the report said that he will play a role in the next set of episodes. Zoom's identity, according to the EPs, will begin to be revealed in the next couple of episodes.

Fans will begin to learn more when "The Flash" returns Tuesday, 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
