'The Flash' Season 3 News and Updates: Barry Allen Will Travel to the Gorilla City; Cast, Plot, Release Date

"The Flash" Season 3 will air on The CW with a new plot and great theme as Barry Allen visits and stays in Gorilla City.

"The Flash" Season 3 will soon return! And it has been confirmed that Barry Allen will be visiting and staying at the Gorilla City. He will soon be in a tropical paradise but not with beautiful women by his side. This time, highly-intelligent primates are waiting to get the best out of him.

The final episodes of Season 2 revealed the activation of the Flashpoint Paradox which sent Barry to Gorilla City, home of Gorilla Grodd. Producers said that Flash will not just be there for a short time but will stay for a little while longer— possibly for a two-part story premiere to highlight Season 3.

Barry Allen vs. Gorilla Grodd and his gang— this will be the plot for the initial episodes of the new season. Reports say that these episodes could be the best parts of the series. And of course, fans cannot wait to see the Flash battle it out with tough and smart gorillas.

Back in Season 1, Gorilla Grodd was simply a regular gorilla, which was subjected to experimentation by Dr. Harrison Wells and under General Wade Eiling. They wanted to create a mind control method that has never been developed before. It was also discovered that the General had a plan to use the results of the experiment to dominate using the military. The experiment was shut down because of this.

Gorilla Grodd was exiled to Gorilla City located in Earth-Two. Later episodes also revealed that Grodd killed the reigning king in the city and then gained control of it. Apparently, the Flash showed up just in time when Grodd was about to take control of more than Gorilla City. The menacing gorilla was planning to rule the world.

Did not follow the original story

Fans who read the Flash comic books will surely be surprised because scriptwriters of the show did not follow the original plot at all. In fact they added a few of their own ideas that will show how Grodd gained control of Gorilla City and how he fought Barry Allen as well.

The cast returns

"The Flash" season 3 returns with its all-original cast. Grant Gustin returns as The Flash/Barry Allen, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells/Reverse-Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West Allen, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West, and others.

Premiere/release date

"The Flash" Season 3 will air on October 4 on The CW. The premiere of Season 3 will also air in Australia on Fox.
