'The Flash' TCA Revelations, News, Details: Reverse-Flash Identity Confirmed

One of the major cliffhangers from The CW's hit superhero TV series "The Flash" was inadvertently revealed by the show's cast member.

A report from ComicBookResources.com cited cast members and executive producers of the series talking during the annual Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour this Sunday in Pasadena, California.

In that session, one of the biggest mysteries that the DC TV show held against its avid viewers was apparently shed light by Tom Cavanagh, who plays Dr. Harrison Wells.

As told by CBS, a slideshow was presented displaying actors from both "Arrow" and "The Flash" alongside their comic book counterparts. Cavanagh's Wells was then shown next to Reverse Flash. It can't be helped that a reporter from a publication raised the question about the connection of the two characters and whether or not they are one and the same.

"I've tried to deflect and parry as best I could -- yeah, sure. He's the man in the yellow suit," Cavanagh told CBS. "I think the short answer to your question is, 'Yes, I am Reverse-Flash.'"

The media outlet went on to clarify the revelation from the actor himself in an exclusive interview to which Cavanagh said, "I would like to say, as a betting man, I would wager that it can be that simple."

"On the other hand, I'm not a keeper of the flame. These guys no doubt have stuff up their sleeve as we progress," he added.

For the meantime, "The Flash" will return on air this Tuesday, Jan. 20, with the new episode called "Revenge of the Rogues."
