The actress herself shared details on what to expect from her character, as reported by TB Line. She said that there is a possibility that Alicia will have a drinking problem since she's lonely. She added that there will be a lot addressed in the upcoming season regarding the change of character with Alicia.
Christine Baranski also shared her sentiments for Alicia. She said, "Because of the political scandal she was involved in, with all the recounted votes, and her reputation tainted, now she's trying to get back to a more essential part of her being, which is just really loving the law."

The premiere episode of "The Good Wife" season 7 will be titled "Bond." The synopsis reads, "Alicia attempts to revive her struggling law career by representing arrestees seeking release on bail in bond court, where she meets attorney Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), who competes for her clients."
In addition, it was previously announced that Vanessa Williams will be joining the cast for the seventh season of the series. She will play the role of Courtney Boalt, a businesswoman. She is expected to support Peter Florrick and his campaign, as well as portray the love interest of Eli.
