A Romanian model is being dubbed the "human hourglass" for her 20-inch waist, but the term may not be all that endearing.

Ioana Spangenberg, 30, is 5 feet 6 inches tall, and reportedly has always had a tiny waist. At 13, she had a 13-inch waist.

The Romanian model maintains she eats normal foods and isn't skipping meals.

Spangenberg tried to pack on the pounds by eating Mars Bars as a teen, according to reports. The move was unsuccessful though.

"No one seems to believe it, but every day I eat three big meals and I snack on chocolate and crisps all the time," Spangenberg told The Sun. "I just have a small stomach. It's a bit like a gastric band, if I eat too much I feel sick."

The tiny waist isn't the best feature to have, however. In the smaller-is-better world of modeling, 20 inches may just be too small – especially in Romania.

"In Romania it is better to be overweight, because that means you are from a wealthy family," Spangenberg said.

The model is married and lives in Germany and reportedly only got into modeling at the request of her husband, after the couple saw a huge reaction to photos placed online in 2006.

Spangenberg still, however, wants to gain weight.

"I would still like to gain weight so I don't look so shocking. And now that I live in Germany I can't get enough pizza or kebabs," she said. "But I'm finally comfortable in my own skin."

It is unclear why her waist is so small if she is eating the amount of food she claims.
