Although it has yet to be confirmed if he will also direct the sequel, he is reported to have already written the script for the upcoming film. When he was asked about what the next film will be about, he shared that some of the ideas in the sequel came from material that he already thought of during the making of the first film but "could not make fit into the script."

"There are new ideas I have and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie," he added.

No revelations about the plot and the timeline that the sequel will use have been made. Reports are circulating that Samuel L. Jackson has claimed that he will reprise his role as Frozone, Mr. Incredible's superhero buddy in the sequel.

It has been 11 years since the first movie and although Disney has not made any definite announcements yet, the report claims that the studio may make way for any big announcement during their upcoming D23 Expo in August of this year.
