Kardashian Apps Latest Sales News: Now Have Over a Million Subscribers

Last month, the Kardashian and Jenner sisters have launched a subscription-based lifestyle app for each one of them. All Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner apps can now be considered as four of the most downloaded free apps on the Apple App Store in the United States.

It has been established that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" stars have a strong social media followers. Now, the reality stars try to attract smartphone users by offering subscriptions to their "daily updates" straight from their apps.

According to a source that told The Hollywood Reporter, the Kardashian apps now have over a million niche subscriptions, collectively, in just two weeks after the launch. The source also leaked that Kylie's app managed more than 600,000 sign-ups, in just two days after the launch.

The Kardashian lifestyle apps are free to download; however, each app charges $3 per month to get exclusive contents. These contents include Kylie's curated radio channel, Kim's makeup tutorials, and Khloe's Khlo-C-D, which is an organizing series.

The apps promised more exclusive content "with a credit card number," according to the report. Whalerock Industries president, Jeff Berman, promises to fans that they will always get more out of their subscription. "Our north star is that the fans have to feel like they're getting three or four times the value of what they're paying," Berman added.

The challenge now for Whalerock Industries is how to get new subscribers, as well as maintain them. In just a couple of weeks, Kylie's app is no longer part of App Store's Top 100 most downloaded free app. However, Jared Heinke, Head of Digital at Whalerock, said that the apps' earlier performance has already exceeded their expectations. "We're going to earn every subscription — in the first week, the first month, the first year," he added.

Lloyd Braun, the man behind the Kardashian mobile apps, said that he also plans to create more celebrity subscription-based apps by next year. According to Braun, the older Kardashian sister, Kourtey, and Howard Stern, will be one of those that will get their own app from his company.
