'The Leftovers' Season 2 Episode 8 Spoilers: Will Kevin Come Back from the Dead?

"The Leftovers" just dropped the biggest cliff-hanger of the season in the last episode of the show, and fans want to know if Kevin (Justin Theroux) will make it back from the dead, or if he'll just remain, well, dead.

In the last episode, fans saw Kevin Garvey drinking poison, in order to face Patti (Ann Dowd), and ultimately get rid of her. Viewers saw Kevin being haunted by the former cult leader in the past episodes, and he seems to be losing his mind. According to Virgil's (Steven Williams) advice, the only way to eliminate her completely is to defeat her on "the other side," which means Kevin has to be dead, just like Patti.

According to International Business Times, Kevin decided to follow Virgil's offer in order to win Nora (Carrie Coon) back. Nora promised to come back if Kevin will be able to get rid of the voices in his mind, which is Patti's.

In the sneak peek of the upcoming episode, which is titled "International Assassin," Kevin's dead body is being dragged by someone, and fans want to know if he'll be able to finally defeat Patti during their "battle," and if he will be able to get back to the living. The website seems positive about Kevin's resurrection, since they speculated that it is him coming back to life that Michael (Jovan Adepo) saw at the woods, in the end of the teaser.

Spoilers Guide posted a synopsis of the next episode, and the summary reads, "In the shadow of Laurie questioning his mental health, Kevin attempts to vanquish Patti on an unexpected battlefield. A terrible, heartbreaking choice is all that stands between Kevin and his chance to rid himself of her and his past."

Watch "The Leftovers" season 2 episode 8 tonight, Nov. 22, on HBO.
