'The Leftovers' Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers: Show Returns To Mapleton And The Guilty Remnants

Fans are still trying to wrap their heads around the latest events on HBO's hit apocalyptic drama TV series "The Leftovers" Season 2 where Kevin Garvey miraculously came back to life. However, these shocking developments will temporarily be set aside when the show returns this weekend with a new episode titled "Ten Thirteen."

According to the spoiler report from International Business Times, the upcoming installment will be going back to Mapleton to find out more on what's happening with the Guilty Remnants and its new leader, Meg Abbott.

The synopsis shared over the media outlet gave hints that fans will be able to get a glimpse of Meg's journey of becoming one of the organization's fiercest crusaders after being a person who has suffered and was crippled with emotional pains. It is also revealed in the summary that she will be joined by Tom Garvey on her pilgrimage road trip.

In one of the scenes found in the promo video released by the network, Meg can be seen reminding the other cult members that their influence is already waning away and that they need to act.

"We are not stepping up," she said. "They are forgetting."

One of the Guilty Remnants' members spoke up to her about the rumors, saying that there is talk that Meg has something brewing up for October 14. Meg quickly dismissed the accusation by saying, "that's ridiculous." However, it seems very suggestive that Meg is hiding something big and that there might be something in the works that will happen on that date.

Spoilers Guide posted the full summary of the episode and it reads:

"A personal loss and subsequent pilgrimage to Miracle offer clues on why Meg embarked on her path as a Remnant crusader. After a fallout with Laurie, Tom seeks to reunite with Meg."

"The Leftovers" Season 2 Episode 9 airs this Sunday, Nov. 29, on HBO.
