'The Legend of Zelda' Wii U Rumors: Fan Develops Interesting Theory Based On Nintendo Direct Teaser (VIDEO)

A YouTube user and "The Legend of Zelda" fan has come up with a theory about the upcoming game's Wii U version based on a Nintendo Direct teaser.

Nintendo Direct released its "The Legend of Zelda: Wii U teaser last week and one of the game's fans, a YouTube user named HMK has formulated a theory based on analysis of the footage that involves a book the game's hero, Link, is carrying in the clip.

The book prominently displays an eye-like crest belonging to the Sheikah, which HMK speculates may be related to the title of the upcoming Wii U game.

The Sheikah text in the book may point out to what Link's next adventure may be, similar to the previous games when an entire quest revolved around a specific item of mystical origin.

HMK posted his own analysis and theory in a video, speculating "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U title may use the words "book," "Sheikah," "time," or "shadows," with the latter term having to do with Sheikahs' presence often accompanied by shadows. As Sheikahs are guardians of Hyrule, HMK concludes "time" has a lot to do with them.

HMK also listed a lot of possible titles that contain synonyms to the clues discovered, such as "Codex of Ages," or "Tome of Sheikah."

The video also points out the Sheikah eye in the Nintendo Direct teaser shows a blue glow similar to Link's blue arrow in "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U trailer that was shown during the June 2015 E3 convention. In the trailer, Link lets fly a blue arrow with a reported ability to slow down combat.

The 13-second clip also features what HMK believes to be new equipment, races, and new environments. Link's sword was specifically mentioned, appearing to be the biggest sword he has used in the series so far. Arrows with green tips, a travel pack, a seemingly upgraded wooden shield, and an upgraded bow have also been spotted in the teaser.

While Nintendo has not commented on any of the speculations, players will just have to await the upcoming game which is reportedly arriving sometime in 2016.
