'The Mentalist' Season 7 Spoilers, Plot News: 2 Action-Filled Episodes Await Fans

Although this is the seventh and the final season of the hit crime procedural TV series "The Mentalist," spoiler reports suggest that the show isn't slowing down one bit to offer its fans non-stop action-filled episodes as it nears its finale.

In one case, episode 9 titled "Copper Bullet," Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) will put himself in the frontline in order to save Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) career future.

A synopsis for this week's segment was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:

"When Abbott's old boss, Agent Peterson (Dylan Baker), threatens Abbott's career -- and possibly his freedom -- Jane devises a risky plan to protect his friend's future."

VCPost meanwhile cited Dunbar's recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter where he shed some details on the upcoming segment.

"There are always some twists and turns to keep people interested and wanting to come back and motivated to see the next episode, so always anticipate that. But the consistency of the storylines is there, and I think the fans and going to enjoy it," the actor said.

Moving forward to yet another exciting episode, the popular show will showcase a cops versus robbers drama in the 10th segment titled "Nothing Gold Can Stay."

According to the official synopsis provided, Jane and the FBI will be hunting a gang of criminals that are armed to the teeth.

"Jane takes extreme measures as the team tries to apprehend a deadly gang of armored car robbers before their desperation to remain free costs more innocent people their lives," TFC said in their website.

"The Mentalist" Season 10 episode 9 airs this Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 8 p.m. on CBS while Episode 10 will air on Feb. 4 on the same timeslot and network.
