'The Originals' Season 3 News: Things to Look Forward to In the Next Chapter of the Vampire Series

The CW's hit supernatural TV drama series "The Originals" ended its current second season with a bang on Monday, May 11. At the cost of many lives and broken relationships, the Mikaelson family came out victorious on their battle against their evil witch Aunt Dahlia (Claudia Black) in "Ashes to Ashes."

Now that the dust has settled down, fans were wondering what would happen to the strained relationship between the show's main characters Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Would the former be able to forgive Klaus for the things he'd done to Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) as well as the death of Gia (Nishi Munshi)?

A report from Enstars shared a post-season ender video featuring executive producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci which was posted by the network on Friday.

After giving their thanks to the avid followers of the series, the two execs then point out that the Elijah-Klaus rift issue as well as the other interesting plot points developed in the season finale will surely be tackled in the upcoming season.

"Tune in next season to find out if Elijah and Klaus can repair their damaged relationship," Narducci said.

"Will Hayley remain cursed to be a human only one night a month?" Plec also chimed in to tease.

As reported earlier, the brand new third season of "The Originals" will kick off this fall on The CW. Meanwhile, the cable network announced that it will be pushing its royal drama "Reign" to a Friday airing slot so that Originals can follow its parent show, "The Vampire Diaries" on its Thursday evening time slot.
