'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' News: Lisa Rinna Says Husband Harry Hamlin Nearly Divorced Her

Lisa Rinna has become a fan favorite on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" since she joined the show for its fifth season. But Rinna almost didn't get to join the show as she reveals in an interview that her husband, Harry Hamlin, was not a fan of the Bravo franchise.

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, she revealed that Hamlin threatened to divorce her when the idea of her being on the show first came up. Appearing on "Live with Kelly and Michael," the 51-year old said that being on the Bravo show almost ended her marriage.

"I went to Harry and said I'm thinking about [doing RHOBH] and he looked at me and said, 'If you do this show, I'll divorce you,'" said the "Melrose Place" alum.

Rinna told host Kelly Ripa, "I walked away and was done with it. Actually, I was done with the show idea."

But the actress said that Hamlin had a change of heart after a day.

"And he comes to me a day later and he goes — and you've met him, he's very mellow, very low-key — and he said, 'I've thought about this and I think it'll be a good idea if you did it.' He went through it. And I was like, 'Okay.' And there you are!"

Hamlin has been occasionally featured in the show and is also spoken about. On this week's episode, Rinna discussed her husband's battle with addictions and those of his family, which tragically ended the life of two of his brothers.

In an upcoming episode, the actress will also be seen becoming very protective of her husband. In a promo for the episode, an angry Rinna throws wine at Kim Richards and screams, "Don't touch my husband, you never go near my husband."

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
