'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' News: Season 7 to Reveal Details of Jacqueline Laurita's Daughter's Engagement

It seems that 2016 is full of positive vibes for the cast of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" as it has been revealed recently that Jacqueline Laurita's daughter, Ashlee Holmes, has been engaged to boyfriend Pete Malleo.

Holmes told E! News that her family loves her fiancé and his cousin Albie Manzo has been friends with the man since they were young. Holmes and Malleo have known each other for a long time, and though they have been dating on and off, everything started getting more mature about a year ago.

She also shared that within the first week of their serious relationship, they already started talking about marriage. Laurita is very pleased with her daughter's engagement that she took to Twitter and said Holmes' ring looked fantastic.

The engagement doesn't stop there since it has been confirmed that the preparations and the engagement itself will be featured in the upcoming season of "RHONJ." This means Holmes will now become a full-blown housewife and she will appear in the show as a regular.

Last season, Holmes appeared a couple of times, but her engagement has now ensured a spot for the main cast. She revealed that filming for season 7 was on its peak when Malleo went on his knees.

Meanwhile, one of the most-anticipated moments in season 7 of the hit show is Teresa Giudice's return. She was released from federal prison just before the holidays took full swing and it is said that her first few moments at home will also be flashed when the show returns this year.

Laurita and Giudice have had feuds, but it is rumored that the two's reconciliation will also be featured in the upcoming season. It seems jail time did a lot to change Giudice enough to make her patch things up with some people.

It is unclear if Joe's preparations for prison will be shown in season 7, but rumor has it that his last days before serving time in jail for fraud charges will be unveiled for fans to see.

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season 7 returns on Bravo sometime in 2016.
