'The Real Housewives of New York' News: Tinsley Mortimer Not Getting Along With Other Cast Members?

Season 9 of "The Real Housewives of New York" will welcome new cast member Tinsley Mortimer as a replacement for Jules Wainstein, who left the long-running reality series last season. Unfortunately, according to reports, Mortimer has not made a good first impression on the other cast members.

Mortimer, once considered as one of Manhattan's most glamorous socialites, returns to New York after spending the past few years in Palm Beach, Florida after her divorce from Robert "Topper" Mortimer in 2012.

Now, it is said that she wants to reclaim her former throne. The move also serves as a new start for Mortimer following an arrest last April 2016 for trespassing on the residence of ex-boyfriend Nico Fanjul.

However, things don't seem to be going well for the "Real Housewives of New York" newbie.

According to Page Six, Mortimer has failed to impress the other housewives as she is unable to meet their standards for proper etiquette. Specifically, the other cast members think Mortimer has not shown proper gratitude toward Sonja Morgan, who she is staying with while filming the upcoming season.

"If you're a socialite — never mind a 'socialite,' if you're a human — if you're a guest at someone's home, you buy them a bottle of wine, or at least a card," a source told the publication.

This has reportedly earned the ire of the housewives, particularly Ramona Singer, who is said to be the most vocal when it comes to this issue. It was reported that Singer has already confronted Mortimer.

Page Six also mentioned that Mortimer's storyline for the forthcoming season will be to look for love in New York City. However, with these issues popping up so early in the filming process, producers are said to be second guessing Mortimer's addition to the reality series.

Meanwhile, Mortimer's rep has responded to the reports, saying, "There's no truth to these rumors."

All will be revealed when the ninth season of "The Real Housewives of New York" premieres later this year. Bravo has yet to announce an air date.
