The Search For Simmons Is On In Episode 2 Of 'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 3
The second episode in the third season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." titled, 'Laws of Nature' has made Daisy into a real leader, introduced the formidable Rosalind of ATCU and showed that Simmons is trapped in an alien universe somewhere.
ABC has released its official synopsis of the second episode due to be aired on October 6. The episode is titled, "Purpose in the Machine" and the synopsis reads: "Fitz and the team enlist the aid of an Asgardian to unlock the secrets of the ancient monolith that swallowed Simmons, and Agent May is at a crossroads in her personal and professional life."
Fans will recall that in the premiere episode of Season 3 of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Daisy rescues a new Inhuman named Joey. But when Daisy goes to Lincoln for his help in Joey's transition, he refuses. Lincoln does not want to be involved with the 'Inhumans' because Jiaying's betrayal and her attempted war. A new organization, ATCU (Advanced Threat Containment Unit), ratified by the President himself and headed by Rosalind, played by the super Constance Zimmer, is also hunting the Inhumans. Coulson and Rosalind are at loggerheads even though they face a common enemy.

It is very intriguing to think that maybe Coulson and Rosalind get into a relationship in the near future.
This season might very well belong to Daisy. Shedding the skin of hacker Skye and getting into the new, cool outfit of "'Quake" is going to be an awesome transformation for Daisy. She is turning out to be a true leader and Coulson was right in appointing her as one. The close and clinging-to-the skull haircut plus the Quake outfit of the gauntlets and jumpsuit is a perfect fit for Chloe Bennett.
Fans will finally come to know the whereabouts of Simmons in the second episode. Fitz, who is desperately searching for Simmons, finally tracks a relic pertaining to the Monolith which had consumed Simmons. Viewers will come to know that Simmons is trapped in some alien world.
