'The Strain' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Eph and Setrakian Faces An Old Foe in "The Battle for Red Hook"
Things are about to get even more intense as the second season of the hit supernatural drama TV series "The Strain" continues this week with an episode that will see Eph and Setrakian facing an old enemy.
Titled "The Battle for Red Hook," the synopsis provided over at The Futon Critic says that the former CDC personnel and the elderly vampire slayer will be facing off against an old foe. This enemy could be anyone – from Eichorst to the Master himself who is now reborn into the body of the pop star, Bolivar.
The teaser, which was shown after the end credits of Episode 8 "The Intruder," gives hints of an all-out invasion of the Strigois. Furthermore, Eichorst and Kelly appear to be aboard in a ship. This gives way to the speculations that the two are mobilizing their undead minions into the other side of the island.

The summary from TFC clued in that the Staten Island councilwoman, Justine Feraldo, will be taking some drastic measures to "counter a surprise invasion." It was revealed in one of the earlier episodes that the island, separated by water from the mainland, was declared free of the infected. It appears that the hordes of the Strigois are now crossing over the barriers which will eventually cause a vampire apocalypse.
For those who missed it, the previous episode was rather an interesting one as it was revealed that Palmer is also after the Occido Lumen. Setrakian, accompanied by Fet, managed to find more clues on the location of the book.
Cardinal MacNamara, who was already stricken by Eichorst, told the vampire hunter that the artefact was with Rudyard Fonescu, the boy whom Setrakian met at the convent on Austria.
On the other side of town, Gus finally met Mr. Quinlan. The two's acquaintance didn't start well but they eventually find some common grounds to both agree with.
Kelly, on the other hand, was this close to getting her hands to Zach. She did manage to get inside Eph and Co.'s lair but was soon overwhelmed by Nora and Eph. It appears that Zach is now ultimately convinced that her mother isn't already the person he knows before.
"The Strain" Season 2 airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on FX.
