'The Strain' Season 2 Recap, Spoilers: Eph Comes to Terms With Rob and Lee's Deaths

The last week's episode of FX's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Strain" was filled with unfortunate events. Eph, who got this close to fulfilling his and Nora's plan, suffered a deadly setback.

His arrival at Washington introduced the fans to Eph's colleague named Rob, whom he seeks help to make the necessary connections. Rob in turn introduced the former CDC personnel to one Lee Thomas, a representative of a large pharmaceutical company. After a number of calls and arrangements, the deal to take the anti-vampire virus to a large scale has finally been closed. But on that evening, Eph found Rob lying on the pool of his blood.

Stricken with panic, Lee made her way out of the room and that's when Palmer's hitman fatally shoot her. Eph received a bullet but was able to produce his own piece that ultimately killed the assassin.

The spoiler reports for the upcoming episode titled "The Born" say that Eph will return to New York devastated and at the same time frustrated. Furthermore, Eph will come to terms and take the full responsibility on the deaths of Rob and Lee.

Adding to the tragic moments in "Identity" was Fitzwilliam, Palmer's former valet. Despite his hesitations in an earlier episode, Fitzwilliam finally joined with Setrakian but his time with the team was rather short-lived. While on a mission to rescue Nora and Zack from Kelly and her minions, the newcomer was bitten by a Feeler. This forced the elderly to kill him.

In spite of all these negative moments, fans are still hopeful that the good will be able to win against the evil. In fact, the previous episode finally revealed Mr. Quinlan, one of the favorite characters from the comic book.

Quinlan is said to pick up where Van had left off. He will then unite with Setrakian and Gus in their efforts to bring down the Master.

"The Strain" Season 2 airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on Fox.
