'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Cast News, Spoilers: Cast Member Paul Wesley Talks About Episode He Directed
This week's episode of the hit supernatural TV drama series "The Vampire Diaries" will once again see the directorial skills of one of its cast member and spoiler reports suggest that Elena (Nina Dobrev) will still find a hard time breaking free from Kai (Chris Wood).
Tonight's segment was actually the second time that the actor who plays Stefan Salvatore had gone behind the camera. The first was with last season's "Resident Evil."
Talking about his episode, Paul Wesley went on to speak about the mystical elements that fans should expect in "Woke Up with a Monster."

"This episode in my opinion is a much more grounded episode. It's actually not as mystical. There's not a lot of mythology in my episode; it's really about the more tender moments," the actor told Entertainment Weekly.
"What I love about my episode is that it is fast-paced, fast-paced, fast-paced, exciting, entertaining, and then it sort of slows down and there's this moment of real tenderness, which I think is so important on our show," Wesley added.
A synopsis for "Woke Up With A Monster" which is slated to air this Thursday, Jan. 22, was posted on the Futon Critic and it reads:
"More powerful than ever, Kai (guest star Chris Wood) holds Elena (Nina Dobrev) captive while he learns to control his newly acquired magic. At the Salvatore mansion, Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) and Alaric (Matt Davis) try to prepare Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) for the impending merge ceremony with Kai, but they quickly realize Jo is weaker than they thought. After bringing Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) home from the hospital, Caroline (Candice Accola) travels with Stefan (Paul Wesley) to North Carolina in search of a cure for her mother's cancer."
"Meanwhile, Stefan, who has his own intentions for traveling to North Carolina, is caught off guard when Enzo (Michael Malarkey) shows up demanding to know what Stefan is hiding. Lastly, when Damon (Ian Somerhalder) discovers Elena has been kidnapped by Kai, he is forced to rethink his strategy after an unexpected visitor throws a wrench into his plan."
