'The Vampire Diaries' season 7: Bonnie's new love interest is someone familiar

"The Vampire Diaries" is set to return next month for season 7, which will bring a new love interest for Bonnie Bennett.

In an interview with TV Line, Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham revealed that her character will find new love in someone familiar, but it is still unknown if that someone is Damon, Matt, Enzo, or someone else. What is known for sure is that the fans will find out about Bonnie's new love interest when The Vampire Diaries returns for season 7, according to The Hollywood Life (THL).

Graham said she is excited about what the "crazy" season will deliver to its viewers.

"It really surprised me who they ended up putting Bonnie with, but I was super stoked," THL quotes Graham's statement to TV Line. "It's someone that everyone knows and loves, so it's super fun."

The mystery guy will be revealed during the fifth episode of The Vampire Diaries season 7. Unfortunately for Zach Roerig's fans, Bonnie's new man will not be Matt Donovan. Graham said Matt is a "very nice guy," but she is not sure if the returning Bonnie will still be the same person from season 2 and 3. The actress said her character will do a lot of crazy and "dark stuff" during the next season, the report details.

As for Matt, Graham revealed that Matt will still remain human as always though Bonnie will do something "creepy" to him when season 7 begins, the report adds.

Bonnie will most probably not start a relationship with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) because he is the former lover of Elena (Nina Dobrev). In addition, the whole clan of Salvatore is still mourning Elena's death, the International Business Times reports.

So that leaves the fans with just Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Alaric (Matt Davis) as the most possible choices for Bonnie.

The Vampire Diaries season 7 will begin airing on Oct. 8 on The CW.
