'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Episode 4 Spoilers: The Fight Against The Heretics Continues

The battle against Lily (Annie Wersching) and her band of Heretics continues but Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) might have to make some last-minute changes to their plans when the seventh season of The CW's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Vampire Diaries" continues this week.

The promo trailer for the episode titled "I Carry Your Heart With Me," which was shared over at International Business Times, showed Damon opening a casket to find Oscar (Tim Kang) already dead.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Damon was heard saying. The situation ultimately means that he needs to devise another plan to cover the incident or else Lily will know that another one of her "children" is dead. Failure to do so could mean that he will lose all hope of getting Elena's (Nina Dobrev) body back.

Adding pressure to the crisis is the fact that Mary Louise (Teressa Liane) and Nora (Scarlett Byrne) took notice of Oscar's absence.

"Where's Oscar?" the Heretic asked Damon with an air of suspicion in her voice.

Damon's body language was rather a clear tell-tale sign that he is lying as he answered: "You just missed him."

Out of desperation to get out of this sticky situation, it looks like Damon will need to convince Alaric (Matt Davis) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) to use the Phoenix Stone to revive Oscar. The teaser hinted that it did work out but the scenes that followed showed that the resurrected became more dangerous than he already was.

Meanwhile, Stefan's part of the stint is to distract the two girls from further asking about Oscar's whereabouts. With Caroline (Candice King), the two will keep them busy with the events in the Heaven and Hell ball held at the Whitmore College.

Find out how these thrilling events unfold when "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 airs this Thursday, Oct. 29, on The CW.
