'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 News, Cast, Spoilers: A New Love Interest for Bonnie

"The Vampire Diaries" seems to be building stability for its current season. Despite a rocky start, reports by TV By The Numbers show that the series was able to gain attention of viewers once more as the ratings have somehow risen in the past week. Although star of the show Nina Dobrev's departure was expected to be a blow, perhaps The CW's faith in the show has proven to pay off. For now, one of the things that many are wondering is what the future holds for the current characters left in the show, and it's already being answered little by little with the three-year flash-forward scenes in the past episodes.

With Caroline's (Candice Accola-King), Tyler's (Michael Trevino), and Alaric's (Matt Davis) future already revealed, it seems that it's Bonnie's turn to be in the spotlight in the next episode. Kat Graham, who plays Bonnie, shares with TV Line what awaits her character. She shares where the idea of the future Bonnie came from, "The inspiration behind future Bonnie was sort of Helena Bonham Carter in Fight Club — a little more of a bad girl, as well as someone who's hiding a secret." She also teases about what fans may see, "It's very different from the other flash-forwards you'll see. Oh, and this one has the huge reveal of who I end up with!" She later on said, "There's a huge reveal for Bonnie and Damon in that way."

One of the interesting twists in Bonnie's future life will involve Lily, as Graham further added. Lily's actions will create a domino effect of bad events in the lives of the show's antagonists. Graham says, "We don't find out everything that Lily has done, and all the ways she's effed everybody over, until episode 5."
