'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Episode 14 Spoilers: Jo's Witch Twins Show Off Powers

Jo's (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) twins are becoming powerful in the upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries."

In the episode titled "It's Been a Hell of a Ride," the synopsis reveals that both Caroline (Candice King) and Alaric (Matt Davis) will struggle to contain the little witches' magical powers. As Josie (Lily Rose Mumford) and Lizzie (Tierney Mumford) become older, their witch blood cannot be denied any longer. After all, their biological mother belonged to the powerful Gemini coven. The twins could already perform simple magic before, but viewers will soon see them do more complicated spells. Their parents are becoming worried with their steady progress.

For Caroline and Alaric, they just want the girls to be safe. Kai's (Chris Wood) return last episode seemed to spark something within the witches. Perhaps it was because they were face to face with Jo's killer, Josie and Lizzie's powers became erratic.

Since he was a marked man, Kai offered Damon (Ian Somerhalder) something he could not resist. He said he could wake Elena (Nina Dobrev) up from her slumber. In exchange, Kai wanted Damon's help to kill Cade (guest star Wolé Parks).

As expected, Kai had no plans to follow through with his promise. He tried to doublecross Damon and run away with Elena in tow.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Wood teased that aside from Alaric, the one who would probably hate to see him most is Bonnie (Kat Graham). Still, Kai cannot help but feel drawn to her. Bonnie was the first person he saw after getting out of hell. The actor also explained how Kai was able to return to the land of the living.

"They rang the bell and Kai found an opportunity to sort of work with the supernatural forces at play and break out of there just as that was happening. And he thinks he's just made it out and he's sort of ecstatic and a little manic. ... in fact he's on like a time limit/loaner situation from hell, where he's got to do something to secure his footing on Earth. And he sort of figures out it involves doing more evil deeds and he needs Damon's help to accomplish that," Wood told the media outlet.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 airs Fridays at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
