'The View' Casting Updates: Regular Guest Host Michelle Collins Added as Permanent Co-Host
The week has been rife with news about the departure of Rosie Perez from her hosting position in ABC's talk show "The View." Recent developments indicated the inclusion of Michelle Collins, who will soon debut as a permanent co-host of the said show.
A report from The Wrap said that the frequent guest host "was in discussions to become a full-time contributor" along with Molly Sims, who is "also expected to be a member" on the 19th season of the show.
If officially announced by the network, Collins will be joining other mainstays like Whoopi Goldberg and Raven Symone. The latter was confirmed as regular co-host in early June.

Collins take credits on her appearances in TV shows like "Kathy," "Big Morning Buzz with Nick Lachey," "The Gossip Queens" and "Chelsea Lately."
Perez, on the other hand, will be seen last on View this Thursday, August 6.
The TV personality and actress had previously taken a month off on January to rehearse for Larry David's Broadway play "Fish in the Dark."
"Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show to pursue full time her love for acting," executive producer Bill Wolff told Deadline.com in an email.
The publication meanwhile, went on to point out the status of the show's other co-host, Nicole Wallace, whose "future is unclear."
Citing the media outlet's earlier reports, it has been speculated that Wallace "might not be back for another season" although sources hinted that "talks" with the host "have just begun."
