'The Voice' Season 7 Judges, Mentors News: Taylor Swift Joins Show as Guest Mentor

Fresh from working on the dystopian film "The Giver," releasing her new single "Shake it Off" and her outstanding performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift proves to be a hard working lady as she heads to "The Voice" to share her musical expertise as a guest mentor.

Swift will serve in the same capacity that Coldplay front man Chris Martin did on season 6, and she will mentor contestants across all four teams, coached by Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, and Gwen Stefani.

"Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with," a source close to the show told Us Weekly. "She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor."

Aside from Swift being on mentoring duty, other stars have been previously announced to serve as each judge's team mentors. Levine will be working with Stevie Wonder, Little Big Town will be with team Shelton, Gavin Rossdale will be working with his wife Stefani, while Pharrell will be working with Alicia Keys.

In the promo, the competition heated up during the blind auditions, each coach tried their best to get singers to join their team.

Levine made sure to remind them about his winning streak as he convinced singers to join his team. Shelton counteracted that by mentioning his three wins, and the stakes seem to be higher this season between the two veteran judges as Levine has the chance to tie with Shelton if he wins season 7. Pharrell mentioned that he knows "what to do with that voice," while Stefani tapped into the style sensibilities of female contestants.

"I have four clothing lines. Do you like fashion?" she asked.

"The Voice'" returns to NBC on Sept. 22
