'The Voice' Season 7 Premiere Date, Latest News: Adam Levine Respect for New Coaches
It has only been four months since Josh Kaufman win in the sixth season of "The Voice" under Team Usher. Now the red chairs will turn around once again as Blind Auditions for the next season of the singing show competition is now set to premiere on Sept. 22, 2014 on NBC.
There have been many changes that took place in "The Voice" including the introduction of the new coaches No Doubt lead vocalist Gwen Stefani and singer-songwriter and rapper Pharrell Williams.
It has been previously reported that Cee Lo Green left the show while Christina Aguilera, having been absent in the chair since the sixth season, won't also be returning as she is currently working on her eighth studio album.
Veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton meanwhile expressed their excitement in working with the new mentors.
"I think it's the best season we'll ever have. Gwen and Pharrell are incredible; formidable opponents but people that I respect and love," Levine said in a promo video for "The Voice" season 7.
The names of the team advisors in this upcoming season have also been revealed. They are as follows:
- Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks for Team Adam
- Bush Frontman Gavin Rossdale for Team Gwen
- Country music group Little Big Town for Team Blake
- Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys for Team Pharell
Rolling Stone also confirmed Taylor Swift's involvement on the show as she will serve as an advisor for all teams when the second round of Battles happen.
Blind Auditions were taped between June 7-8, 2014.
