'The Walking Dead' News, Plot Spoilers: Cast Member Steven Yeun Teases A Darker Season 6

If cast member Steven Yeun is to be asked, the upcoming 6th season of AMC's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The Walking Dead" will be much darker and more emotional.

Yeun, who recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly, said that all the tragic moments of Season 5 – the death of Bob, Beth and Noah – will certainly take a toll on everyone when the show picks up for Season 6.

"It's easy to use the buzzwords — to say 'roller coaster' or 'intense,'" the 31-year-old actor said (via EW). "I think last year was a very good indicator of where we're headed. We're seeing everybody as who they are now. You've found them grizzled. You've found them completely broken and shattered and they've all witnessed and experienced terrible things. And so you get to see them there. We wear it on our face. We wear it on our body."

Yeun went on to tease that fans are also going to find out "how much has been taken away from us."

Speaking in behalf of each of the central characters, the actor went on to explain that the end goal of the latest season is "to find some semblance of life that we lost before."

With this at hand, it is expected that the audience will get to see some "deeply emotional character story."

Earlier this month, Yeun's co-star Norman Reedus also sat down with the publication where he likened the characters as a "bunch of wild animals" who are trying to adjust to the cultured "domestic environment" of Alexandria. This set-up, according to him, would be a huge issue when the show returns to the small screens.

"Season 6 is much different than the previous seasons," the actor who plays Daryl Dixon said (via EW). "It's kind of our group being okay with stability and fighting stability and figuring out if we can actually live with other people."

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 premieres October on AMC.
