Meanwhile, a lot of mystery surrounds Aaron, who made his debut on last Sunday's episode "The Distance" Though Rick was understandably wary about him and his intentions, they all follow him to Alexandria, a place which Aaron says is a safe haven for all of them.

Readers of the comic books where the AMC series is based on knows for a fact that Aaron is a recruiter for a group of people from a community known as the Alexandria Safe-Zone. Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron in the show, spoke to TV Guide about his character.

"He's an affable man, he's very nice, he's very polite, and he's almost Boy Scout-like in that regard," said Marquand.

The actor also said that as much as Rick and the group are sizing him up, Aaron is doing "exactly that to them."

"Aaron believes that they must be a pretty decent group if they're traveling with kids. But they've also demonstrated a great deal of violence. When you take people who have been out in the world for that long, [who are] really going back to a more animalistic side of themselves, you're going to meet some serious aggression," he added.

"The Walking Dead" airs on Sundays at 9/8c on AMC.
