'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Casting News, Update: Show Seeking 'Military Types' and A 'Mr. Nice Guy'

Fans of AMC's popular post-apocalyptic TV drama series "The Walking Dead" are probably hungry to know some updates about the show's upcoming Season 6. Here's the latest we heard:

The zombie drama is already on its way in its production phase and are actually looking for a handful of actors to portray this slew of interesting characters.

For one, there's a report from Project Casting saying that earlier this week, the TWD team was holding a casting call for "military types" in the Atlanta, Ga., area. According to the publication, producers are in the lookout for a "Caucasian male between the age of 35 and 55 and 6' or taller."

The casting information states that the call is only meant for a "still shoot" and not actually for filming. What does this actually mean?

IBTimes was quick to throw in their speculations saying that after Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the remaining handful of survivors caused a major havoc in what appears to be a peaceful sanctuary in Alexandria which would eventually prompted their leave, they might be running into some abandoned military camp filled with soldier zombies.

Meanwhile, Michael Ausiello from TV Line's "Ask Ausiello" TV scoop segment cited a new casting intel describing a character in his "mid-twentysomething married man."

"A Mr. Nice Guy who, over and over, gets the same message from cruel fate: Do unto others before they can do unto you. And since whoever's hired for the recurring role has to be available for future seasons — but there's no such requirement placed on the actresses vying for the part of his wife, Hilda — it seems safe to speculate that losing the missus will eventually push him over the edge," TV Line wrote.

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 is slated to return to AMC this October 2015.
