The War on Marriage Is On!

May 10, 2012|9:31 am

"President Obama's 'evolution' is now complete." – Rea Carey, director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

On May 9th, 2012, the Declaration of War against godly, traditional marriage has been made public by President Barack Obama.

According to Fox News, "President Obama on Wednesday endorsed same-sex marriages, becoming the first sitting U.S. president to take that position following days of speculation about his "evolving" stance on the issue."

This is not "new" news really. He has without regrets admitted even in the public arena how he has "evolved." He has never taken any stance for biblical, godly marriage and the speculation is over.

Again, while it may be shocking to some, for us who seek deeper than surface understanding know that this President has waged war against biblical principles well before this time period.

As stated, "Senior officials told Fox News that Obama was always planning to come out in favor of same-sex marriage before the election, even before the Democratic National Convention."

Been there, done that – but what about right now?

The war against what God stands for has always played a role in history – good vs. evil – but now it has taken center stage with scores of followers being added daily as such should be deceived.

Make no mistake, this is truly the last day and our last chance to rise up and speak out against the tyranny of the war against God, His people and true Christian morals and values.

Many Christians, even leaders are misled under the assumption that any form of politics and governmental issues are no place for God's people. How far from truth this is!

Psalm 68:1 says, "Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered…" Notice in some versions, it actually says, "Let." One the NIV, it presents the verse's beginning as this: "May God arise…"

Both "may" and "let" both denote permission. This is not by any means declaring that God must have our permission, but rather avails through us by giving His own people the opportunity to participate in His doings.

God says in Isaiah 43:13," I will work and who shall let it?"

Now is the time for God's people to move; to act; to speak up and out and be heard.

Who are you really afraid of?

"Stop being afraid of those who kill the body but can't kill the soul. Instead, be afraid of the one who can destroy both body and soul in hell." (Matthew 10:28)

We shelter ourselves in our church buildings, constructing empires and retirement plans for us as leaders, yet in the streets deception reigns supreme.

Moreover, this is exactly where the liberal, anti-Christian propaganda has aimed its deadly array of weaponry.

All the while we are afraid to speak up for what is right and what God has saved us for. The scripture is real when it says, "…ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:" (1st Peter 2:9)

From Battle to War!

On October 12, 2011, it was again published publicly a decry against moral, biblical values when NBC and other Major Television Networks declared War on Marriage by "Celebrating the End of Marriage."

Quoted by NBC by woman author Kate Bolick, "Today marriage is an option, it's not a necessity, the way it once was." Kate continues, ""It's time to embrace new ideas about romance and family – and to acknowledge the end of 'traditional' marriage as society's highest ideal."

Many people only believed that this was no big deal – only a little battle – and how wrong they were.

Little by little the battles were waged relentlessly throughout the nation, and we as Christians were perturbed, shook our heads in dismay, then went right back to our pews or soft chairs of comfort and soaked in the blessings.

The time of war is not the time of comfort

We are nearing an epic battle that will literally take away our life of comfort and endless vacation. Our cute Precious Moments bible will soon be replaced with worn leather bibles that are underscored with tears of intense worship and desire to see God in a real and powerful way.

We have candy-coated our lives for too long and we are now faced with the question, "What will you do with what you believe?"
