'The Wolverine 3' Spoilers: 'Narcos' Star Plays Villain

Fans will be happy to hear that two new characters could be joining the upcoming "X-Men" film, "The Wolverine 3."

While there has yet to be any details regarding the upcoming plot of "The Wolverine 3," it was announced that two new faces could be gracing the big screens.

According to Den of Geek, "Narcos" star Boyd Holbrook will be joining the cast of "The Wolverine 3. " It was revealed that he will be bringing some obstacles to the "X-Men" heroes in the upcoming film. Holbrook will be playing the film's villain.

However, there has yet to be any details regarding who the villain for "The Wolverine 3" will be. As reported by Deadline, Holbrook's character was described as "a relentless, calculating and intense head of Security for a global enterprise who is set against Jackman's clawed Wolverine/Logan hero."

Aside from the new villains, there are rumors that another character will be taking part of the film. As reported by Comic Book.com, there has been casting calls for a female character. The casting read that the film is in search for Caucasian, Hispanic, or Asian looking females in their 20s.

The description had fans believing that a popular "X-Men" character will be taking part in the upcoming film. It was rumored that "X-23" could be the next character to debut in the world of "X-Men." Fans of the comic book are aware that the female character is a female version of the iconic "X-Men" character Wolverine.

With that, there are also speculations that this will bring the idea of the Weapon X projects, which is a group of scientists who have the goal of creating the perfect weapon. However, there has yet to be any news confirming the matter.

It was also reported that the production for the upcoming film will soon begin. With that, fans can expect "The Wolverine 3" to debut in theaters on Mar. 3, 2017.
