'The Young and the Restless' Cast News, Spoilers: Cast Member Suffers Serious Drug Reaction

Longtime "The Young and Restless" actress Melody Thomas Scott recently took to her social media to tell fans about the serious health issue she suffered over the week.

On her Twitter account, the 58-year-old star shared that she got ill over a serious medical reaction to a prescription drug given for her sinus infection.

"Am thankful that I have gained enough strength 2 B back at work.The recovery has been slow, but improving. Not a secret," her tweet reads. "I'm actually looking 4 more ppl who have suffered w/ this same reaction. These meds should not B available to public. Very serious side effects."

Soap Opera Digest, meanwhile said that viewers need not to speculate if Scott would appear on the upcoming episodes or not. They said that the actress, who has been known for playing Nikki Newman, will have a "big storyline" in 2015.

Speaking of spoilers, reports indicated that Y&R this week is set to feature some interesting and explosive scenes that fans surely couldn't afford to miss.

According to Soap Central, viewers should expect the legal battle between Nick and Sharon commencing this week. The site further said that the situation will greatly affect Faith. This leaves the two worried as they will find out about Faith's runaway.

Meanwhile, Adam Newman will find "very surprising" information about his father Victor. Adam will also now be setting his plans into motion, which starts off by making a "dangerous move."

Genoans will also be celebrating Christmas. Soap She Knows mentioned the Winter and Newman families planning for the festivity. Jill and Colin will be joining Neil and his family for the Christmas Eve celebration.

Elsewhere, Lauren and Michael will be discussing about their future without Michael and SSK said that the couple will be making the required arrangements.
