'The Young and the Restless' news, cast, spoilers: Actor attains serious injuries during Y&R filming

Apparently, the set of the "The Young and the Restless" has caused injuries beyond the written plotlines. Recently, news is that one of its veteran actors has incurred a major injury while being on the set.

According to Soap Shows, one of the fight scenes might have gotten a little too real during filming, as Daniel Goddard, who plays Cane in the long-time soap opera, shared on social media, Facebook, to be exact, about breaking his elbow during a fight scene.

Goddard uploaded a photo of himself last Friday as he is seen sitting in a chair with his left arm in a cast, and his face resting on his right hand, seemingly exhausted from the happenings. The picture that gained 11k likes, had a caption, "I broke my elbow on Friday at work while filming a fight scene. I am just so bummed out…" It's fairly understandable that he would be as this can hinder him from fully portraying his character, if he isn't forced to take leave. Many fans expressed their "get-well-soon" wishes in the comments.

There aren't any details about the fight scenes that Goddard had been involved in, so fans are still kept in the dark as to who he was fighting with in the particular scripted altercation or why there was a need for physical violence. However, it seems that Goddard may need to take time off due to this accident, or hopefully they can incorporate his injury to whichever direction the story will go.

Goddard has been in the show since 2007, which makes this his 8th year playing the Cane. The actor has definitely won over fans in the past years. Despite not having a major story going on for him right now, fans still continue to support Goddard and is still considered a fan favorite.

For fans of the actor, they will still be able to catch him as The Young and the Restless airs every weekdays on CBS.
