'This is the Police' to Officially Be Released on the Nintendo Switch
"This is the Police" is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch this month.
On Oct. 11, THQ Nordiq has announced that they would finally be bringing the strategy adventure game "This is the Police" to the Nintendo Switch platform. According to the video game publisher, the game developed by Weappy Studios will be able on the eShop sometime in the latter parts of October. Furthermore, a physical version of "This is the Police" will also be released sometime in December.

"This is the Police" is set in the fictional crime-filled city of Freeburg and is centered on the character of a police chief Jack Boyd. In the game, Boyd is given notice by Freeburg's corrupt mayor that he would be terminated from his job as police chief in 180 days. With this news, Boyd sets out on a mission to accumulate enough money for him to live incredibly comfortable before he is sacked from his position.
Here, players would see Jack Boyd go about his day-to-day duties as a police chief but underneath that authoritative facade, he also takes matters into his own hands to spite the people who have wronged him in the past. The ultimate goal of "This is the Police" is for Jack Boyd to collect $500,000 before his retirement. How Jack gets this amount is entirely up to the player. Since cops don't get paid enough for Jack to be able to save as much as $500,000 being a faithful police officer, he would have to dirty his hands doing so.
Players should note that the game is centered on crime and corruption. With this being said, Jack Boyd can bribe or extort his way to accomplish his goal.
"This is the Police" was previously released on the Xbox One, PS4 and on PC.
