Thought Control!

Credit :

What are you thinking about? Do you ever think about what you're thinking about? Do you know that you can choose your thoughts? That might seem like a strange thing to say, but the truth is, many people don't realize they can choose what they think about. And it's important for us to choose our thoughts carefully because our thoughts have a lot to do with our perspectives and attitudes.

I remember when I finally realized this for myself. At the time, I was a very frustrated, miserable Christian who had no peace. Even though I went to church every week and read my Bible regularly, I wasn't experiencing the abundant life in Christ that John 10:10 says we can have.

Proverbs 23:7 says, "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he" (NKJV). In other words, we become what we think. Or, as I like to say, where the mind goes, the man follows. It was a breakthrough to understand that my problems had a lot to do with a negative, critical, suspicious, judgmental mindset, and I didn't have to just think any thought that fell into my mind. I could think about what I wanted to think about on purpose.
