The Chiefs and the Chargers face off in this AFC West game tonight, and despite the poor run of form for the Chargers, the Chiefs are in an even worse situation.
Amazingly the Kansas City Chiefs have not even led a game in regulation this season. That stunning statistic means that the Chiefs come into this game with a record of 1-6, with their only win of the season coming courtesy of a 91 yard touchdown run by Jamaal Charles against the New Orleans Saints.
The season is probably long gone for the Chiefs, who will be simply hoping to win some more games to make their overall regular season record less embarrassing. Many would have thought the Chargers would be in a similar state being 3-4 coming into this game. However, luckily for them only Denver in the AFC West even have a winning record, and that stands at just 4-3, meaning the Chargers simply need a small run of form to put them back in contention for the post season.
Both teams have been limp defensively this season, with the Chiefs allowing an astonishing 29.9 points per game. The Chargers will also be disappointed by their defense by points allowed, although it is not quite in the same league as the Chiefs - San Diego have let through 20.6 points per game on average so far this season.
Rush defense has been particularly bad for the Chiefs, who have let through 126.4 yards per game, compared to the Chargers who have allowed just 79.9 yards on average per game.
