Titanfall: Frontier's Edge DLC Announced, No Release Date Available

A new DLC for Titanfall titled Frontier's Edge was revealed by Respawn Entertainment earlier today.

This is the second of three planned DLC packs to be announced for the Xbox first-person shooter. It brings three new maps to the game including an isolated mining outpost named Dig Site, a beach resort known as Haven and a mountain side hub called Export.

There is no release date for the update at this time. However, it should be available sometime in the near future seeing that the last DLC titled Expedition was released in May. It will launch for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC and will cost $10. Those with the Titanfall season pass will also receive Frontier's Edge. Pictures showing off this DLC were leaked onto the internet last month.

Respawn also recently patched Titanfall with a new update that gave the game a rotating featured game mode, titan burn cards and insignias, and new menu art.

A Titanfall 2 PS4 release could be coming, according to a previous report.

IGN.com stated that EA has secured rights to the sequel and that it is unclear if the next installment will follow in the footsteps of the first one by being exclusive to the Xbox One and PC.

EA's decision comes as a result of the sales of the original Titanfall which launched last week for the PC and Xbox One.

The site reached out to EA for a comment.

"We do not comment on rumor or speculation," said an EA rep to IGN. "Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall."

The first game was originally planned for the PC, but ended up being released for Xbox One.
